About the QR Code Generator

Type any text or URL and this generator instantly renders a scannable QR code. Choose the pixel size (128–1024) and the error-correction level, then download as PNG for print or SVG for unlimited scaling. There is no sign-up, no watermark, and — unlike most "free" QR services — no expiry and no redirect through their servers: the code points directly at your URL, forever.

What error correction means

QR codes can survive damage: at "High (30%)" a code still scans when nearly a third of it is covered, which is why posters and packaging use high levels. Higher correction means a denser pattern, so pick "Low" for clean digital screens and "High" for anything that might get scuffed, small or photographed at an angle.

How much data fits?

A version-40 QR code holds up to ~7,000 digits or ~4,000 characters, but keep it short — shorter content means a simpler, faster-scanning code. Best practice: use a short URL and aim for under 60 characters.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

Never. The code simply encodes your text or URL — there is no account, no redirect service and no server involved. Print it on anything; it will still work in ten years as long as the destination URL is alive.

Should I use SVG or PNG?

SVG for print (business cards, posters, packaging) because it scales infinitely without pixelation. PNG is fine for screens, slides and web pages — pick 512px or 1024px if it will be displayed large.

Why is my QR code not scanning?

The three most common causes: too little contrast (use dark modules on a light background), the code is too small relative to scanning distance (aim for scan distance ÷ 10 as the code size), or the encoded URL has a typo.

Is it safe to scan unknown QR codes?

Treat them like links: a QR code is just a shortcut to text or a URL. Your phone’s scanner previews the address before opening — check it, and be wary of codes that lead to login pages or app installs.
